Notice is hereby served that the Philippine Association of Academic and Research Librarians, Inc. will hold it 36th Annual General Assembly on the 30th of January, 2009, Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon at 6th Floor, The National Library Auditorium, T.M. Kalaw St., Malate, Manila, with the following agenda:

• Call to order
• Determination of Presence of Quorum
• Approval of the Minutes of Last Year’s Annual General Meeting
• Annual Report of the President
• Treasurer’s Report
• Report on the Election of the Board of Directors for the Year 2009
• Other Business as may properly be brought before the Meeting
• Adjournment

The Formal Induction of the new Board and its Officers for 2009 and the Awarding Ceremonies will proceed immediately after the general meeting or about 10:00 a.m. Registration begins at 7:00 a.m. There is no registration fee but renewal or application for membership fees for 2009 will be welcomed. Snacks will be served after the induction.

PAARL normally holds two national conferences or seminar-workshops a year: the first is during the summer break (April to May), and the second one is during the semestral break - late October. There are normally four forums held every year - one in March, in July during the ABAP Book Fair, in September (Manila International Book Fair), and the last is in November during the National Book Week.
